Plane makes emergency landing at Lambert Airport

KMOV - A King Air plane holding five passengers and a pilot had to make an emergency landing Thursday evening because the landing gear did not deploy.

According to Lambert Airport spokesperson Jeff Lea, the plane, which was headed to the downtown St. Louis Airport in Cahokia, had to make a belly flop landing after the pilot realized there were problems with the landing gear.

The small jet is registered to Butler Aviation, a firm based out of Louisiana.

Everyone onboard the plane left the scene okay physically, as no one needed hospitalization.
