(KMOV) -- A St. Louis County man was the victim of one of three overnight robberies in the St. Louis area.

The hold-ups happened in St. Peters, Chesterfield, and in Florissant. In all of these cases, a gunman stormed inside a business and demanded money.

Authorities are working to figure out if the crimes in St. Peters and Florissant are connected. Police tell News 4 that the Chesterfield robbery is not related to the other two.

One of the robberies happened around 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Sinclair gas station on Dunn Road in Florissant. The clerk at this gas station was shot by a man robbing the store. He is expected to survive.

Police say the suspect in this case got away and they need help finding the man. He is described as a black man with a dark complexion, between 5’6” to 5’9” with a medium build, weighing 135 to 150 pounds. Police say it’s not clear if the suspect had an accomplice.

In Chesterfield, police are looking for a man who held up a 7/11 clerk at gunpoint.

This robbery happened around 10:20 p.m. on Wednesday at Olive and 141.

There were customers inside the store at the time of the robbery, but it’s unclear whether they saw the crime take place.

Chesterfield police don't have a solid description of the suspect.

In St. Peters, the front desk clerk at the Ramada Inn on Salt Lick Road was robbed at gunpoint.

This also happened on Wednesday night.

Police have released surveillance photos from this robbery.

Anyone with information on any of these incidents is asked to call police.
