Fire rips through south St. Louis business

(KMOV) -- It was a cold and busy morning for St. Louis firefighters.

They were called in to battle a massive fire in south St. Louis.
 
It happened around 4:40 a.m. on Thursday at Jefferson and Crittenden near the Benton Park neighborhood.
           
A building containing a grocery store and several apartments caught fire and burned for a couple of hours.
           
One firefighter was injured. He hurt his back while battling the flames.
 
No one else was injured.
 
No official word on what caused the fire.
