Missouri coach Anderson returns to Tulsa

COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) -- Missouri coach Mike Anderson makes a homecoming of sorts Wednesday night as the Tigers hit the road to face Oral Roberts.

Anderson is a former point guard at Tulsa. The Golden Eagles, a Summit League team, also play in that Oklahoma city.

The Tulsa ties don't end there. Anderson's wife, Marcheita (mahr-SHEE'-tuh), grew up in a nearby small town. And Nolan Richardson, Anderson's coach and mentor at both Tulsa and later Arkansas, coaches the city's new WNBA team.

Missouri enters the game with a 5-2 record after a 37-point weekend drubbing of Oregon at Mizzou Arena. Oral Roberts has a 5-4 record. The Tigers have beaten the Golden Eagles in each of their five previous matchups, most recently in Columbia last year.
