An O'Fallon, Illinois woman is accused of having sex with an underage boy scout after the scout's parents allegedly walked in on them.

Investigators with the St. Clair County Sheriff's Department say police arrested 39-year-old Wendy Rogers at the boy's home on Sunday afternoon after the scout's parents returned home from a shopping trip and walked in on Rogers and their teenage son having sex in his bedroom.

The parents called 911 to report a "rape in progress" and barricaded the door so Rogers could not leave.

Tuesday, the St. Clair County State's Attorney charged Rogers with Criminal Sexual Assault.

Investigators were looking into how long the two had a sexual relationship.  Detectives were also interviewing other scout members in Troop 35 in O'Fallon, but no other potential victims have come forward.

I called the Boy Scouts and Alicia Lifrak, Scout Executive with the Lewis and Clark Council of the Boy Scouts of America, provided the following statement:

We were shocked and deeply saddened to learn about the allegations against this council
volunteer. Upon learning of these allegations, we immediately revoked her membership.
She will never be allowed to participate in Scouting again.

The safety of our youth members and participants is our highest priority. The BSA seeks to
prevent child abuse through a comprehensive program of education, chartered organization
leader selection procedures, criminal and other background checks, barriers to abuse, prompt
reporting and swift action.

While we are deeply disturbed by the alleged actions of this individual, they do not represent
the values and ideals of the Boy Scouts of America, the Lewis and Clark Council, its
professionals, members or chartering organizations.

Currently, we are fully cooperating with the local authorities in their investigation of this
matter. For additional information regarding this case please contact the local authorities.
