Google looks to provide real-time searching

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. (AP) -- Google is trying to bring more of the here-and-now into its search results. The site says it will start providing fresh information from blogs, news sites, Twitter and other popular hangouts as part of its search results. Since online sites like Facebook, Twitter and MySpace are becoming more topical, Google and other search engines like Yahoo and Bing are trying to rev up their search engines so they can capture more of that kind of stuff. Although Google announced its partnerships with sites like Facebook yesterday, the feeds from such social networking sites won't start appearing until early next year.
