(KMOV) -- Granite City police have charged a man who approached a young girl.
Authorities said 41-year-old Jimmy Woehrl, of Pontoon Beach, approached a Coolidge Middle School student Friday at a convenience store in the Granite City school district. Although the actions in the store were not criminal, they were alarming and suspicious.
Woehrl was charged with solicitation to meet a child. Bond was set at $100,000. Monday afternoon, Woehrl was able to post $10,000 cash and was released.
