(KMOV) -- Two children remain hospitalized following a deadly car accident Thursday night in north St. Louis County.
News 4's Maggie Crane has learned that Alise Snipes, 12, is listed in good condition at Children's Hospital while her brother Jaquim Jones, 7, is listed as satisfactory condition.
One woman was killed and four other people were injured after a police chase in north St. Louis County ended with a crash Thursday night.
Authorities tell News 4 that Upland Park police tried to stop a gold car on Natural Bridge Road. For some reason the driver wouldn’t stop so police began chasing the car.
The gold car eventually slammed into another car at the corner of Goodfellow and Martin Luther King.
The five passengers in that vehicle included two women and three children. Everyone in the car was transported to local hospitals.
According to a friend of the victim's, one of the women died later at the hospital. The other woman underwent surgery. The 12-year-old suffered a blood clot along with other injuries and anothoer child has two broken legs.
Homicide and accident reconstruction crews were called in to investigate.
A business owner in the area tells News 4 that the suspects in the gold car ran away from the scene.
Police are searching for the suspects.
