KMOV - Anger continutes to build over how an elected board is spending tax-payer money.
The Northeast Ambulance and Fire District board spent more than $700,000 for two severance checks until a judge stopped them from spending any more money.
Tuesday marked the first meeting since the judge's ruling. At times, the meeting was confusing, and in the minds of some, illegal.
Controlling members of the Northeast Ambulance and Fire District turned the tables on efforts of reform by shutting out the court appointed board member, who tried, she says, to clean up the district's financial mess.
Even more confusing is the controlling board members voted to pay the district's bills even though their bank funds have been frozen.
Some citizens at the meeting say that violates a judge's order, and they'll be in court Wednesday trying to get this board held in contempt.
