Applesauce -


Recipe for Applesauce:

3 pounds apples,  cut into pieces
1/2 cup water
3/4 to 1 cup sugar, to taste
Juice of half a lemon
2 teaspoons cinnamon or cinnamon sticks

In a large saucepan combine the apples, 1/2 cup water and sugar, bring the
liquid to a boil, and simmer the mixture, stirring occasionally and breaking
the apples, for about 20 minutes. Adjust seasoning with lemon juice, sugar
cinnamon. Serve the applesauce warm or chilled.
