County passing out cleanup kits and tetnus shots to flood damaged areas

(KMOV) – The St. Louis County Health Department is passing out cleaning kits to residents with flood damage.

The cleaning kits include a gallon of bleach, gloves and a mask. Flood water mixing with sewage is a big concern.

A mobile unit is going to distribute the kits and tetnus shots to the hardest hit neighborhoods.

Residents can also go to the Health Department at 4000 Jennings Station Road until 6 p.m. The Health Department will reopen tomorrow at 8:30 am

The Northeast Fire Protection District says at least 39 homes were flooded Wednesday.

St. Louis County says it is asking FEMA and the state to come to Pine Lawn, Northwoods, Jennings, Normandy, and Bel-Ridge for damage assessment next week.
