(KMOV)—A former high school basketball coach has been charged with statutory rape and sodomy.

According to police, Brent Michael Woody, 26, of Creve Couer has been charged with 11 counts of second degree statutory rape and four counts of second degree statutory sodomy.

Chesterfield police received reports of sexual misconduct involving the former Parkway Central High School basketball coach and two girls under the age of 17.

According to Parkway Central High School, Woody served as the ninth grade girls basketball coach and as an assitant track coach during the 2008-09 and 2009-10 school years.

Woody was not a teacher at Parkway Central High School but occasionally served as a substitute teacher.  Federal background checks in the fall of 2008 and October 2009 did not reveal any previous instances of misconduct.

The alleged incidents, which occurred in 2009, did not happen on school district property. Woody did not seek employment for the coming school year.

Woody is being held on a $50,000 bond.
