(KMOV) – Harris-Stowe State University broke ground on a new residence hall Tuesday.
The 150-year-old school opened its first student dorm four years ago. Enrollment is up so much that a second dorm is needed.
The dorm will be built on the northeast corner of campus next to Gillespie hall.
The first dorm has about 230 beds, the new dorm will add another 200.
