(KMOV) – The brother of a man found dead in north St. Louis County has been charged with his murder.
Calvin Taylor, 38, is charged with first degree murder and armed criminal action.
Police were searching for Calvin Taylor, who hadn’t been seen since last Friday. On Tuesday evening they discovered Taylor was in police custody in Clarksdale, Mississippi for a peace disturbance charge. He was also in possession of his brother's car that had been missing.
Calvin Taylor’s brother, Paul Taylor, 48, was found dead in his home around 2 p.m. Tuesday at 983 Chesswood in north St. Louis County near Florissant.
Paul Taylor, a postal worker, had not been at work Monday or Tuesday. Police responded and found the victim dead from a gunshot wound.
Police did not see any signs of forced entry but found a graphic scene inside the home.
Paul Taylor rented the residence and within the last year, Calvin Taylor moved into that house with his brother. They are originally from Mississippi.
Calvin Taylor is currently being held in police custody in Mississippi without bond.
