(KMOV)— A state representative’s car was hit by a stray bullet, Monday afternoon.

According to Berkeley’s Police Chief, two people got into a fight at one location then one suspect got into a car and left with the other suspect following them.
The fight ended at 8235 Airport Rd in Berkley when one of the suspects fired two rounds at the other suspect.
The shots were fired in front of State Representative Theodore Hoskins' campaign office around 2 p.m.
Hoskins's wife's car, which was parked right out front of the office, was hit with one of the stray bullet, shattering the rear windshield.
Hoskins is running for a State Senate seat in two weeks but the police do not believe he was being targeted in this incident.
The police believe the bullet is still lodged in Hoskins' Mercedes.
The police are still continuing to search for the shooter and figuring out who they were targeting.
