(KMOV) – St. Louis police have arrested four people in connection to an overnight shooting near a popular downtown area.
Police say three people were shot at 14th and Locust around 1:00a.m. Monday. That is near the crowded Washington Avenue bars and lofts. A 19-year-old male was shot in the neck, a 20-year-old male was shot in the thigh, and a 17-year-old male was shot in the hip. The victims were taken to a local hospital and were all listed in critical but stable condition.
One of the suspects got into a fight with the victims and began firing at them. The shooter and three others with him then got into their car and drove away. A traffic officer in the area heard a description of the car and ended pulling them over less than a half mile away, at Jefferson and Stoddard. The officer found a gun hidden under the hood of the car.
All four are being held in the St. Louis police station.
Charges are expected later Monday.
