(KMOV) -- The weekend got off to a gruesome start with six shootings. Nine people were injured, two of them in critical condition, and one was killed.
Police said three people were shot in the 4500 block of Davison in north city at about 10:11 p.m. A 37-year-old man was shot twice and is listed in critical condition at an area hospital. A 17-year-old female and a 19-year-old female were both shot, but are not considered life threatening.
The victims were standing outside with several others when two people began firing shots from across the street. Police are investigating, and are unsure if the suspects were targeting the victims.
Police said a 15-year-old male was shot at about 11 p.m. in the 5500 block of Herbert. Authorities said the victim was sitting in a car purchasing marijuana when the suspect began firing at him.
The victim escaped the car with a gunshot graze to the head. Police said the suspect knows the victim and are looking for him.
Authorities said two people were shot in a house in the 5600 block of Acme at about 12:01. A 29-year-old woman is listed in critical condition after being shot in the back and an 11-year-old girl was shot in the leg and is not considered life threatening.
Police said the suspects shot the victims from outside the house. Police said they were targeting someone inside the house, but not either of the victims.
Police said a 17-year-old man was shot in the thigh at about 1:15 a.m. Saturday in the 6300 block of West Florissant. The victim was leaving a nightclub when a large fight broke out. A car pulled up during the fight and people from inside the car fired shots.
Authorities said a 22-year-old man was shot at 1:15 a.m. Saturday in the 6000 block of Delmar. Police said the victim got into an argument with two people over one of their girlfriends when gunfire broke out.
The victim was shot in the groin, but is not considered life threatening. Police said the victim knows the suspects and police are searching for them.
