(KMOV)-- Hundreds of cheerleaders staying at the Millennium in downtown St. Louis had a visit from some unwelcomed guests.
The girls and their parents claim their rooms were crawling with bed bugs. The hotel denies finding any bugs. The cheerleading squad had to camp out in the hallway until the hotel moved them to different rooms around 2:00 a.m. Thursday.
One mom even caught some bugs she found on her daughter's bed and kept them in a baggie. She claims it affected at least 20 rooms here at the hotel.
But the GM told News 4 a pest control company came in Thursday morning and found nothing. In fact one worker thinks the girls may have gotten chigger bites on the Arch grounds.
The city health department said they've had zero complaints about bed bugs in the city this year so far. Their investigator also checked out the Millennium Thursday and while he's still writing his report, News 4 was told he found nothing.
