PREWITT, N.M. (AP) -- Authorities in New Mexico have captured a man and woman sought in the abduction of a 5-year-old Missouri boy.
New Mexico state police Lt. Eric Garcia says FBI agents captured 41-year-old Elizabeth Denman and her boyfriend, 40-year-old Mark Cochran, about 2:30 p.m. (MDT) on Tuesday.
An FBI spokesman in Albuquerque didn't immediately return messages seeking more information.
Law enforcement officers have been searching the rugged high desert near Prewitt in northwestern New Mexico for two days.
Denman is the mother of Devon Denman, who was found safe Monday after officers used a spikebelt to stop a car after a high-speed pursuit on Interstate 40. The couple fled.
Devon's father says the couple took the child at gunpoint Saturday from his Lake Ozark home.
