(KMOV) – MoDOT engineers are preparing to partially shut down one of the busiest bridges in the metro area.
They plan to shut down the Westbound lane of the Blanchette Bridge for as long as a year. The shutdown will happen in late 2011 at the earliest.
MoDOT is still working out the details and speaking with nearby businesses that could be affected.
The Blanchette Bridge was built in 1958 and connects St. Louis County with St. Charles.
