5-Year-old taken at gun point found in New Mexico

(KMOV) -- The missing five-year-old boy taken from his father at gunpoint on Saturday in Lake Ozark, Missouri has been found in Prewitt, New Mexico.

According to CBS affiliate KRQE, police say they pulled over a vehicle for a broken headlight around 12:30 a.m. on Monday and found that the car was stolen. The car took off and police gave chase. The car was stopped after police put spikes on the road. Eventually, two adults ran from the car and are still running. 
Highway 40 in New Mexico was closed for five hours overnight in order for police to search for the suspects
Devon Denman was found safe in the backseat under blankets.
Police say they exchanged gun fire with the suspects but are still searching for them around Gallop, New Mexico, which is two hours west of Albuquerque. 
Devon's father told Missouri police that the boy's mother and boyfriend had taken him. 
Prewitt is about 100 miles west of Albuquerque.
