(KMOV) – A blood drive is being held Tuesday in honor of a former Belleville police sergeant injured in the line of duty.
Jon Brough was shot in the face in November of 2006 by a murder suspect who had barricaded himself in his home.
Brough remains blind after the shooting. He has been through 18 surgeries since the incident and has another surgery scheduled.
The blood drive will run from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the hall of the Quail Club at 8303 Concordia Church Road, Belleville, Illinois.
Brough will be attending the blood drive.
