Relatives of Pearl Elizabeth Davis have tried to reach her by cell phone since early Sunday morning. Kevin White, her son-in-law, said that the family constantly calls her cell phone. Sometimes the call goes straight to voice mail, as if the phone's battery is dead. Other times, the phone will ring before a voice mail prompt. They are not sure if someone is using her cell phone.
Davis is a mother of nine and works as a manager at a fast food restaurant. Relatives say that Davis has never failed to check in with family members.
Police say they are concerned about her safety after he silver PT cruiser crashed into the front porch of a home on Kossuth Avenue in St. Louis. When police got to the scene, no one was inside the vehicle. It's not clear if Davis was even in the car at the time of the crash.
She was last seen leaving a relatives home on Penrose Street around 10:30 p.m. on Saturday. Her car was found a little after 3:30 a.m. - five blocks away. Her son said that detectives told the family the keys were not in the ignition and Davis' purse and personal belongings were not in the car.
