(KMOV) – A male massage therapy student is accused of inappropriately touching one of his clients at a Brentwood college.

St. Louis County prosecutors charged Jeffrey Massey 20, of the 5800 block of Etzel Avenue on April 18 with misdemeanor sexual misconduct.

Investigators say the incident allegedly happened on September 6, 2012 at Missouri College in Brentwood where Jeffrey was a student.

The victim claims she came to the school, located at 1405 South Hanley Road, for a massage when Massey was assigned to her.

According to court documents, the victim told police Massey put his hands under her underwear and touched her inappropriately without her consent.

Karl Petersen, President of Missouri College released a statement saying;

“Our massage therapy instructors have full access to the curtained-off areas of the therapeutic massage clinic where client treatment occurs.  Our instructors supervise and oversee students as they learn through working with clients there.  Our massage therapy program was the first to be licensed by the Missouri Board of Therapeutic Massage and we are proud of our program’s level of professionalism.”

He also added that federal student privacy laws prohibit him from speaking about this specific student.

Massey’s bond was sent at $1,000 cash-only.
