(KMOV)—The St. Louis Cardinals wrap up their three-game series against the Arizona Diamondbacks tonight at 8:40 p.m. in Phoenix. The Cardinals will send right-hander Jake Westbrook (0-1, 9.90 ERA) to the mound to face right-hander Ian Kennedy (1-0, 2.57 ERA).
Westbrook has yet to pitch six or more innings in either of his first two starts this season. The right-hander has nearly as many walks (9) as innings pitched (10). Hitters are batting .350 against him so far this season.
Kennedy will take the mound for the third time this season. In his last start, he struck out nine hitters over eight innings pitched in a win against the Cincinnati Reds. The right-hander has struck out 12 batters in 14 innings pitched this year.
