PLATTE CITY, Mo. (AP) -- A northwest Missouri man admits that he stole four tractors and other heavy equipment worth more than $200,000.
Forty-eight-year-old Michael Wayne Stroud of Edgerton pleaded guilty Monday to committing the thefts between May and July 2009.
He was arrested in October 2009 after the Platte County Sheriff's office got an anonymous tip about a stolen tractor. The man who had the tractor told investigators he bought it from Stroud.
Besides the four tractors, Stroud admitted stealing a hay rake and a travel trailer.
Stroud faces up to 15 years in prison when he is sentenced June 2.
