(KMOV)-- An intersection in south St. Louis is sinking according to police, and the problem worsened Tuesday morning.
An inspector with the city says material underneath the street at Keokuk and Pennsylvania is likely washing away, and someone from MSD and the water department will be called in to look at the problem.
The intersection has reportedly been sinking for the last week, and lowered even more Tuesday. The street department says a six-inch water main broke and a sewer line collapsed, causing the erosion.
The repair job could take a couple days.
