(KMOV.com) -- St. Louis police are looking for the suspect who robbed and shot a man in south St. Louis.

Police were called to the scene in the 3700 block of Walsh just before 2 p.m. on Saturday after a pizza delivery man called to report the shooting.  The delivery man said he saw a man drive up, rob and shoot another guy and then turn the gun on him.

Mike Kellner, a delivery driver for Imo's Pizza gave News 4 his name willingly.  He said he saw the suspect pointing a 22 caliber rifle at the victim and then saw the suspect shoot at the victim four times.  He said he could not believe his eyes.

Kellner said, "I was probably 100 feet from where the incident was taking place, but I was stationary and as I was watching this go down, still not believing it, that's when he turned the rifle at me and shot."

When police arrived they found the victim, a 23-year-old male, with a gunshot wound to the chest.  Authorities said they gathered all kinds of evidence from the scene, including bullet fragments.

"I'm more mad than anything. It happened so quick.  I wasn't the intended victim, but I certainly don't understand why he would shoot at a witness," Kellner stated.

According to Kellner, the suspect ran off down the street and disappeared. Police say they are looking for a male in his late teens or early twenties.

The victim was taken to Missouri Baptist hospital.  Kellner was not injured. His condition is unknown.

Police released a vague descrition of the suspect.  They said the suspect is a male in his late teens or early 20's.
