Suspects in Metro-East church burglaries caught on tape

(KMOV) – Police are hoping surveillance video will help them solve a pair of church burglaries in Madison County.
 
Burglaries were reported at two churches on North Alby Road in Godfrey, Illinois - Oakwood Church of Christ and Cornerstone Church. The crimes were discovered when church members arrived and noticed damage to their buildings.
 
Two suspects were caught on surveillance tape inside the Oakwood Church of Christ around 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
 
The first suspect is described as a white man wearing dark pants, a hooded sweatshirt, light-colored tennis shoes and a baseball cap. He was carrying a fire extinguisher and a flashlight.
 
The second suspect is described as a white man with a goatee who was wearing dark pants, light-colored tennis shoes, a light-colored hooded sweatshirt with a design on the front and a baseball cap.
