Alton man faces 30 years jail time, big fines for cocaine conviction

(KMOV)-- After a two-day trial, an Alton man was convicted for distribution of cocaine base.

The United States Attorney for the Southern District of Illinois, announced Thursday, that Donald W. Clark, 51, of Alton, who was charged in the one count Indictment on, January 21, 2011, now faces a federal prison term of up to 30 years imprisonment, a fine of up to $1,000,000, and at least 5 years supervised release as a result of the jury’s verdict.

Sentencing is set for July 22, 2011, at 1:30 p.m.

This investigation was conducted by the Alton Police Department.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Donald S. Boyce.
