New study shows increase in teen alcohol use

(KMOV) -- A recent report found that nearly 68 percent of U.S. teens have tried an alcoholic beverage.

The report also showed that 14 is the average age of when people have their first drink, and that nearly half of U.S. teens think it’s okay to consume more than five alcoholic beverages each day.

Over the past few years, other studies have linked an increase in the use of marijuana and ecstasy among adolescents.
