ST. LOUIS (KMOV) – A 27-year-old woman was hospitalized Monday night from injuries she suffered after crashing into a Midas muffler shop at Olive and Fee Fee roads in west St. Louis County.

The crash also resulted in a massive power outage to about 1,800 residents in the area. Power has since been restored.

Sources say the woman was driving southbound on Fee Fee Road when she went through the intersection at Olive, off the road, down an embankment and into the Midas shop.

The building was closed at the time and was heavily damaged.

It is unclear at this point as to why the woman went through the intersection and crashed into the shop. Her condition is unknown. No other injuries were reported.
