EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. (KMOV) – An East St. Louis felon was charged Friday for possessing a firearm.
Aaron Clark, 24, received a 110-month sentence for being a felon in possession of a firearm and will serve a three-year term of supervised release for the charge. He was also ordered to pay $100 for a special assessment and a $200 fine.
According to police, officers found a pistol and several bags of marijuana in Clark’s car during a March 2009 traffic stop in Fairview Heights, Ill.
Officers say the defendant was initially pulled over for having heavily tinted windows.
Clark, who was on parole at the time of the incident for prior felony convictions, was arrested at the scene for not having a valid driver’s license.
