(KMOV)-- A man has been charged for the murder of a 22-year-old man in north St. Louis.
Corey Rodgers, 33, was charged with 2nd Degree Murder, 2 counts of 1st Degree Robbery, and 3 counts of Armed Criminal Action.
Authorities said Rodgers was arrested on charges unrelated to the homicide. Investigation revealed Rodgers as a suspect in the homicide of Terrence Brown.
Authorities said Brown and a 19-year-old male met Rodgers and another suspect in the 5600 block of Highland on June 24 in order to accompany them to a party at an unknown location. The suspects ordered the victims out of their vehicle at gunpoint and into a rear alley. The suspects then stole several items, including a cell phone and car keys, from the victims.
Brown was shot in the back. He was transported to an area hospital where he later died from his injuries.
Rodgers is being held without bond.
