Downtown residents to hold forum on making the area more safe

The Downtown St. Louis Residents Association is putting on a forum to talk about making downtown a safer place.

It's this Saturday, August 14th from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. at Copia Urban Winery and Market on Washington Avenue.

The forum follows an incident in which police say someone shot at them in the overnight hours on June 11th: www.kmov.com/news/local/St-Louis-police-Men-with-assault-rifles-shoot-at-officers-96136414.html

The city put three downtown clubs on notice saying they may be in danger of losing their liquor licenses: www.kmov.com/news/local/City-Hall-Takes-Aim-at-Downtown-Club-99512399.html

Lure told News4 that it contests the city's allegations.
