It was brutally hot again at Rams Park this morning. Steve Spagnuolo has given his team tonight off. That goes a long way with tired, worn out players.
I continue to like what I see from Sam Bradford but I also like Thaddeus Lewis, the free agent quarterback from Duke. I think he’ll push Keith Null for the third QB spot. Lewis put up great numbers as a four year starter on a downtrodden team. I like his arm strength and mobility. We’ll see how that develops.
And the Rams need pass rushers. I’d be talking to Leonard Little everyday to see if he really wants to play as a situational pass rusher only. Without him, the Rams will need Chris Long and James Hall to be at their best and to get contributions from one of their draft choices. My money is George Selvie, the 7th round pick from South Florida. He’s undersized and not a great fit on first or second down but might be able to help on third down. When healthy, he was a terrific pass rusher with a great motor against really good competition in college.
