Motorcyclist loses control, Cahokia passenger killed in crash

(KMOV) – A woman was killed and a man was injured in a motorcycle wreck in Stauton, Ill., Saturday.

Illinois State Police said 52-year-old Carol Bledsoe was killed after her motorcycle crashed just before noon on Staunton Road near Ill. 140. The motorcycle was going northbound on Staunton Road when the driver lost control and went off the right side of the road and crashed.

The driver of the bike and husband to Carol Beldsoe, 57-year-old Robert Bledsoe, suffered serious injuries. Both were taken to Anderson Hospital were Carol Bledsoe was pronounced dead.
 
Both occupants were ejected. Neither of the victims were wearing a helmet.
