(KMOV) – Police announced on Saturday that 40-year-old Lewayne Jones of Brooklyn, Illinois was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

Authorities say Jones was arrested on August 6, 2010, just after 1 a.m. Jones was reportedly driving on 20th Street and Martin Luther King Drive in Alton, Illinois when police made a traffic stop for failing to signal a turn.

During the stop, police found more than 20 grams of cocaine on Jones. He was taken into custody and held in the Madison County Jail. His bond was set at $60,000.
