(KMOV) -- The FBI is investigating a south St. Louis bank robbery.

It happened around 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday at the Regions Bank in the 4700 block of South Kingshighway.

Authorities say that the suspect walked up to the teller counter and gave the teller a note stating that he had a weapon. The suspect never actually showed the weapon.

He left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect is described as a black man in his mid 30s. He was around 5'11" with an average build and a dark complexion. He was wearing a blue Kansas City Royals cap with three authenticity stickers on the bill. The suspect had large sunglasses and was wearing a navy blue t-shirt with a logo on it. The logo may have been a St. Alexian logo. He was also wearing light colored blue jeans.

Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest inthis case.
