(KMOV) – Homicide detectives are investigating after a woman was found dead on the side of the road in south St. Louis.
 
News 4 has learned that the victim is a 25-year-old woman who was found by a Metro bus driver early Wednesday morning at Russell and Jefferson.
 
The driver called police to the scene just after 6:00 a.m. He tells News 4 that the victim was missing some of her clothing.
 
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
Police say that there were no visible signs of trauma, but the woman's death is being investigated as a suspicious sudden death.
 
The victim's name is not being released at this time.
