(KMOV)—CrimeStoppers, Target, and Shred-It are teaming up to help prevent identity theft.
The first Community Shred It Day will be taking place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on July 31st in six locations.
With a donation of $5 a box, people can have any personal documents shredded by a high speed cross cut shredder. The shredded material will then be recycled in an effort to go green and protect the environment.
Pharma Trash disposal will also be taking place with on site law enforcement there to collect personal prescription medication that are no longer needed and properly dispose of them.
The proceeds of the donations will benefit the St. Louis Regional Crimestoppers.
