(KMOV) -- The St. Louis Rams finalized a four-year, $6.3 million contract with the 6-foot-5, 315-pound rookie Rodger Saffold on Wednesday, a league source confirmed.
Saffold, a second-round offensive tackle, was a four-year starter at left tackle at Indiana University, but Saffold is projected to start immediately at right tackle for the Rams.
The four-year deal includes nearly $3.9 million in guaranteed money.
Saffold was named second-team All-Big Ten last season for the Hoosiers and played in the East-West Shrine All-Star Game.
The Rams are still working on finishing a deal with former Oklahoma University quarterback Sam Bradford, St. Louis’ first-round pick and the top overall selection of the draft.
