Faith groups announce 'Safe Spaces' in anticipation of grand jury decision

 ( -- The Metropolitan Congregations United (MCU) revealed a list of 'Safe Spaces' in Missouri and Illinois ahead of a grand jury decision on the Michael Brown shooting.

The 'Safe Spaces' in Missouri are:

  1. Central Reform Congregation, 5020 Waterman, St. Louis
  2. Christ Church Cathedral, 1210 Locust Street, St. Louis
  3. Christ the King UCC, 11370 Old Halls Ferry, Florissant
  4. Compton Heights Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), 2149 S. Grand, St. Louis
  5. Epiphany United Church of Christ, 2911 McNair, St. Louis
  6. First Congregational Church of St. Louis, United Church of Christ, 6501 Wydown, St. Louis
  7. St. Cronan Catholic Church, 1202 S. Boyle, St. Louis
  8. Washington Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, 3200 Washington, St. Louis
  9. Webster Groves Christian Church (Disciples of Christ, 1320 Lockwood, Kirkwood

There is one 'Safe Space' in Illinois at St. John UCC, 10207 Lincoln Trail, Fairview Heights, Ill.

MCU is an interfaith group consisting of Christian, Jewish, Unitarian and Ethical Society leaders.

When the grand jury decision is announced is still to be determined.
