Art going up on boarded Ferguson storefronts

ST. LOUIS -- A young man from East St. Louis reportedly went to businesses around Ferguson and asked if he could display posters depicting the “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot” battle cry of protesters.

He wanted to improve the look of businesses that have boarded up in preparation of the grand jury’s decision.

News 4 talked with people in the area who say they have mixed feelings about the art.

Some business owners said it’s a great idea given the situation, but what they would really love is for the area to return to normal.
