Bank robbery suspect sought by Richmond Heights Police

RICHMOND HEIGHTS, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Police in Richmond Heights are searching for a man suspected of robbing a bank Wednesday morning.

Police say the suspect entered a U.S. Bank located in a Schnuck’s in the 6600 block of Clayton Road around 10:00 a.m. and handed the teller a handwritten note demanding money.  

Police describe the suspect as a being between 50 and 60-years-old, 5-foot-8 with a scruffy grey beard. Authorities say he was wearing a red hat and flannel shirt at the time of the robbery. 

The suspect fled the scene driving a black Jeep Cherokee, police say.
