Fenton man wanted for assaulting woman he met on dating website

(KMOV.com) – Police said they have issued arrest warrants for a man who allegedly assaulted a woman that he met off OurTime.com.

William Burns, Jr, 50, of Fenton, is wanted on several charges. Authorities said the incident occurred in the parking lot of a Mexican restaurant in Fenton where to the two had just finished eating.

According to authorities, he took the woman to his car and showed her a large collection of guns in the vehicle’s trunk, including two silver revolvers, a semi-automatic pistol, an assault rifle, a 22-calibre rifle. Police said the victim was scared and turned away before Burns began touching her, he then tried to remove her shirt and bra. According to police, Burns exposed himself when the victim made it to her own car.

“If you don’t like something, you have the right to leave. Someone happened there, she didn’t like it, and she contacted police,” said Shawn McGuire with St. Louis County police.

The victim later identified Burns in a photo line-up. Burns is wanted on charges of assault, unlawful possession of a firearm, and sexual misconduct.
