(KMOV.com) -- With cold weather comes the inevitable: Water main breaks.
Missouri American Water (MAW) crews are working on several projects to improve water mains and prevent breaks in the area. In 2014 alone, water crew workers have 200 projects slated. The projects are funded by a charge of at least two dollars per month for each of MAW's customers.
But, it's not just old water mains and the cold weather that cause the breaks.
