Police search for suspects after shooting outside store in north St. Louis

(KMOV.com) -- Police are investigating a shooting outside McNeal’s store Saturday night.

The incident occurred at 5900 Lillian around 11:00 p.m. Police say the suspect approached the 26-year-old victim inside the store and asked to buy marijuana. The victim and a 13-year-old boy who was with him at the time walked outside and the suspect began firing shots.

Officials say the 26-year-old was shot in the arm as the victims fled the scene. He was taken to a hospital and is listed in stable condition. The 13-year-old was not injured.

Witnesses told police they saw the suspect get into a white newer model Pontiac G6 with tinted windows.

Police say they are searching for a black male about 5’10”, 175 pounds with dreadlocks wearing a dark jacket with yellow stripes on the sleeves, jeans, and white tennis shoes. Police say the driver of the car is a black male about 5’7”, 150 pounds wearing a blue bubble vest, grey long sleeve shirt, jeans, and white tennis shows.

The investigation is ongoing.
