ALTON, Ill. (KMOV.com) -- Madison County prosecutors said four women from Missouri worked together to steal expensive power tools and electronics from two Lowes stores in the metro east by stuffing their bags full of items before leaving the stores.
On Wednesday, the Lowes team contacted police after they said they noticed the women in the store.
“Due to some good background work and investigations the Lowes corporation security has been on the lookout for these four individuals that have been hitting other stores,” said States Attorney Tom Gibbons.
Prosecutors have charged 33-year-old Rosato Swoopes, 24-year-old Tamika Stewart, 24-year-old Regina Anderson, and 20-year-old Allexus Flucker with two counts of burglary.
They are all being held on a $50,000.00 bond in the Madison County jail.
