(KMOV.com) – A man was arrested after he attempted to damage property and pulled a knife on a police officer at a McDonald’s in downtown St. Louis Friday morning.
According to police, the 22-year-old suspect entered a McDonald’s located at 1119 North Tucker and began to cause a disturbance by damaging property. A sheriff who was inside the restaurant attempted to stop the suspect, but as he approached the man, the suspect pulled out a steak knife.
The suspect then ran out of the restaurant as the sheriff began chasing him. Other officers who were alerted to the situation took the suspect into custody near 14th and Locust streets in downtown.
No one was injured during the incident.
Police say warrants will be applied for at the Circuit Attorney’s Office.
